Tom Brady’s Four Game Suspension Upheld By The NFL

The NFL upheld the four game suspension of New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady. Brady will miss those games because of his involvement in deflate-gate. The NFL knew that Brady was said to be generally aware of the inappropriate activities with the footballs.

One enormous piece of evidence that could have saved Tom Brady was his cell phone. Brady allegedly sent and received 10,000 text messages. The information on those texts can’t be recovered. An assistant was instructed to smash the cell phone. This is the same phone he had been using since November 2014. According to ESPN, Brady said, “I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 after my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances. To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.” Brady also told Roger Goodell during his hearing he destroys his cell phone and SIM card when he purchases a new phone.

Tom Brady doesn’t seem to understand what he did was wrong. If he was really innocent, he should have wanted to prove that he was. Why would he smash his phone in the first place? The only reason is that there might be something incriminating on the phone. People buy new phones all the time. Most don’t destroy them. They may recycle the phone and/or will wipeout the SIM card.

Brady was trying to make sure the NFL never found out his involvement. He didn’t want to be caught. It was a poor decision. All he had to do was provide the evidence of what happened before the AFC Championship Game. He failed to do that.

According to ESPN, Patriots Owner Robert Kraft said, “Six months removed from the AFC Championship Game, the league still has no hard evidence of anybody doing anything to tamper with the psi levels of footballs. I continue to believe and unequivocally support Tom Brady.”

Tom Brady will now appeal the ruling in federal court. He hopes to receive an injunction so he can play while this case goes through the courts. Tom Brady is all about Tom Brady. He doesn’t want to be suspended. The truth is there is enough evidence linking him to deflate-gate.   Brady should serve the four games and be done with it.

How many games do you think Tom Brady should end up being suspended for and why?

  1. He should get 4 games for the above said, and now tiresome reasons.

One exciting bit from all of this…. This clown may not realize that A LOT MORE could come of this, a lot more names involved, a lot more people could get burned under the rules of federal court.

This could get very, VERY ugly for Mr. B.

…… Oops, I am sorry. Is that Brady or Belichek……. OR both???

  2. Uh, well this is the NFL? Can’t you re-analyze your procedural obligations and hand footballs and pressure levelling to a independent 3rd party such as an extra official, you guys only make billions/yr. you know it could eliminate such opportunities to tamper with set rules
