The Fight Of The Century Between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather

There are so many sporting events to watch tomorrow. There is the Kentucky Derby, the NFL Draft, NHL Playoffs, and the NBA playoffs. A big boxing match is also occurring between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pay-Per-View’s coverage will start at 7 PM Mountain Time. They are calling this “the fight of the century.” This match should have happened 5 years ago when both boxers were in their prime but at least they are fighting now. Let’s preview the mega bout.

Floyd Mayweather is undefeated. He is 47-0 with 22 knockouts. Manny Pacquiao is 57-5 with 2 draws and 37 knockouts. The difference in height could make a difference in this fight. Mayweather stands at 5 feet 8 inches and has a height advantage over Manny Pacquiao who is 5 feet 6 inches. This could give Mayweather fits especially if Pacquiao uses his quickness in his feet to avoid a punch.

Mayweather has the benefit of his reach over Manny Pacquiao which is 72 inches while Pacquiao can only reach 67 inches. This could help Mayweather connect with his punches. Mayweather could hit Pacquiao if he misses. The advantage seems to be in favor Floyd Mayweather. Manny Pacquiao has to hope he has the right combination of punches to stun Mayweather. If he can do that he might have a chance to win this fight.

Fans are hoping to see a great battle. Some are spending thousands of dollars to fly there to watch the fight. Others are watching it on Pay-Per-View. It would be a shame if this clash were to end in the early rounds. The best case scenario is that the fight goes all 12 rounds and each boxer lands punches on each other. Then it would be up to the judges to decide who wins. In the end it will be Manny Pacquiao with his quickness that will prevail in a close match.

Who do you think will win Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather?
