Super Bowl LII Prop Bets

By Jordan Long

Super Bowl LII is this Sunday with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the New England Patriots. The obvious gamble a person can make is who is going to win the game and the point spread. There are many other prop bets people can chance on. According to boston.com, there are nearly 1,000 different prop bets. Here are just a few.

The National Anthem singer is Pink. Every year there is a prop wager for how long the song will take. The odds are over 2 minutes and under 2 minutes. The question is what color hair will she have? The choices are blonde, pink, blue, brown, and green. The best odds are pink at 2 to 1. Black has 7 to 1 odds. During her concerts, Pink likes to be airborne and with that will she be airborne during the singing of the National Anthem? No is 1 to 5 odds while yes is 3 to 1. My gut reaction tells me she will be standing for the anthem.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick seems to enjoy wearing a hoodie on the sidelines. The question is what color will it be at kickoff? The options are blue, gray, red, or white. The favorite is blue coming in at 2 to 3. Red and white are at 10 to 1, while gray is 13 to 10. I think he may wear a darker color, but he enjoys wearing gray.

One of my favorite bets is what color the Gatorade will be when it is poured on the winning coach. Yellow is the favorite at 9 to 4. Red, blue, clear/water are all at 4 to 1. Purple has the lowest odds at 10 to 1. I am going to say that it will either be yellow or clear/water.

For scoring a gamble can be put on if a team scores during the final two minutes of the first half. That all depends on the score and where the Eagles or the Patriots are on the field. Yes is at 1 to 3 while no is at 12 to 5. Whoever has the ball in the final two minutes will start a drive but if they aren’t going anywhere, they will take a knee. I could see points coming from a field goal.

These are just a few of the money prop bets for this weekend’s Super Bowl. Money can be made. Hopefully the Super Bowl in general is a decent game.

What prop bet would you make?
