Insane Ticket Prices For Coach K’s Last Home Game

Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s (Coach K) time at Duke is coming to a close as this is his last season coaching the Men’s basketball team.  They sit at 25-4.  According to ESPN’s Bracketology, they are a #2 seed.  All that could change depending on how they do in the ACC Tournament.  Duke has two games left in the regular season.  They face the University of Pittsburgh tomorrow before returning home for Coach K’s final home game on Saturday against the University of North Carolina.  Tickets are going for a large sum.

                Duke plays their home games at Cameron Indoor Stadium which is on Duke University’s campus.  The capacity for it is 9,314.  Fans who want to go can look to try to score tickets for this Saturday’s game on Ticketmaster, Stubhub, Vivid Seats, and Seatgeek but it is going to cost them a lot of money.  These are for one ticket without fees added on.   On Ticketmaster, the lowest priced ticket is $3,808. This is located in section 10 which is the upper level behind the basket.  The highest-priced is $11,843, again upper level but in section 15.  This is left of half court.

 Stubhub has tickets available.  Right now, the cheapest ticket is $3,694  located in section 10.  The most expensive is in section 15 going for $15,500.

Vividseats.com is selling a ticket in section 11 behind the basketball hoop to the right.  Those are going to set a person back $4,547.  The priciest is in section 15  listed at $14,773. 

  Finally, seatgeek.com also has tickets for the game.  Section 10 there are 3 tickets available but they are going for $3,528 per ticket.  The highest price for 1 ticket is in section 15 selling for $14,809.

                Looking at all these prices, people want to be there for history but at what cost?   This is not  Coach K’s last game coaching ever for Duke.  There are games left for him to coach. They still have to play the ACC Tournament.  Who knows?  Maybe they win that and gives them a shot at being a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.  Duke will be in the NCAA Tournament.  They would like nothing better than to send Coach K out with another Final Four appearance and perhaps a National Title. The Final Four is going to be held in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome on April 2^nd with the National Title Game on April 4^th.     They have a chance to win it.  The NCAA selection show is on March 13^th. The tournament starts on March 15^th  and 16^th with the first four.  The first-round begins on March 17^th and 18^th.
