The NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament starts in earnest tomorrow. Many sports fans fill out a bracket(s) to predict which team will win the whole thing. There is only a 1 in 9 quintillion chance of filling out a perfect bracket. There are many ways people fill out their bracket in hopes of winning their group. For those who do not study college basketball throughout the season, here are a few ways “bracketology” works.
One of the easiest approaches to completing a bracket is to pick the lower seeds losing to the higher seeds. This means that the four, number one seeds are in the Final Four. A decision would be made to which number one seed would beat the other number one seeds.
Another method is using a favorite conference to win each game. All the conferences in the NCAA are represented in the tournament. For instance, the Pac-12 or the Big Ten teams could be marked as the winners all the way to the championship game.
A different way is by colors the teams wear. This takes a little research. A person who does this needs to explore the team colors and choose which colors are liked more between all the teams.
Fans can also fill it out by determining which mascot would beat another mascot. A fan figures out the mascots for each team and decides which one could win a fight. For instance, who would win between a Duke Blue Devil and Kentucky Wildcat?
One other possibility is according to where would you rather travel to. This has to do with the location of the college teams. After investigating, it’s pretty simple. Then, a choice is made between the cities or the states where the college is located. There is no wrong way to fill out an NCAA bracket. It’s all up to you.
